Death Valley is more than a desert
Known as the lowest elevation (282 feet) in North American, and as the hottest place on earth, Death Valley is more than a desert. It’s a wonderland of rock, sand, and barren wasteland.
And craters.
As we were walking the rim of Ubehebe Crater, we passed Little Hebe crater. It may look little, but on the bottom right you’ll notice a hiker conveniently placed for scale.
How do you market and sell tourism in a wasteland?
Like you market and sell anything else.
Experience.
Like walking barefoot in the hottest place on earth.
Or surviving a hike in 120 degree heat.
Not for everyone. But when you own what you offer, you attract others who want to be part of it.
Don’t be everything to everyone, because then you’re nothing.
