Energy. How do you develop and sustain it?


I believe nutrition is a fundamental component.

When I was training MMA with John Hackleman at The Pit, he shared a diet used by his legendary fighters like Chuck Liddell and Glover Teixeira.

Its basis was the “Zone Diet”, with a focus on macro-nutrients and low-glycemic foods.

Macro-nutrients are proteins, carbohydrates, and fats.

Low-glycemic foods like oatmeal, black beans, chick peas, and veggies.

I’m not in the ring, fighting for a title, so maybe the diet is overkill. But, it helped me improve energy before work, during work, and after work.

And, years after starting it, it has kept me in good shape.

If you’re always tired, or lagging at work, try improving your nutrition. It might be the change you need.
