It’s time to ditch impersonal outreach…
LinkedIn needs to promote their business pages, it’s one of their primary ways to serve ads and generate revenue. However, when I receive an outreach like the one below, I delete it before reading. I imagine many others do the same.
Not to pick on Zendesk, they aren’t the only ones to run impersonal campaigns, but they are right. I do like to make every customer interaction matter…
Why couldn’t one of their 2,000 employees send this message? People prefer to buy from other people. And I’d like to think that a personal interaction matters more than impersonal.
Personal outreach is simple. Send from a person, and change “we” to “I”.
